HARPIA Thermal Sights
HARPIA began in 2023 with one clear brief: build a thermal that looks and handles exactly like a riflescope. We widened our collaboration with the Koncern design studio and carried over the design language of our Manul day scopes — the line that earned a RED DOT award. No boxy housing, no camera grafted onto a rifle: HARPIA was shaped as a piece of craftsmanship for the user, with the proportions, balance and controls a lifetime of day optics has taught your hands to expect.
HARPIA is thermal shaped like a riflescope — designed with the Koncern studio in the language of our RED DOT-awarded Manul day optics. Crystal Vision processing on a ≤20 mK core, magnification on a true rotary ring, and handling your hands already know. The 50 MAX pairs a 640×512 sensor with a 2.7× optical base and 8× digital zoom (up to 21.6×); the 50 PRO a 384×288 with a 4.8× optical base and 8× digital zoom (up to 38.4×). Czech-engineered, serviced in the USA, 3+2 year warranty.

Thermal sights, explained
How a thermal sight works
Every living thing radiates heat. A thermal sight reads that long-wave infrared through a germanium lens, and the sensor turns it into an image with an aiming reticle over it — no light needed, none wanted. Brush, fog and full dark stop your eyes; they don't stop a heat signature.
Zeroing a thermal is easier than you think
There's no turret to click. You fire a group, freeze the image, and move the reticle onto the point of impact electronically — one shot can do it. The mechanics that matter are in the mount and the housing: electronics can't fix an optic that shifts under recoil, which is why every HARPIA is verified on an alignment bench and a recoil stand before it ships.
Why controls decide more than specs
In the moment that matters you won't be reading menus — your hands will do what they've always done on a day scope. That's the whole HARPIA idea: magnification on a rotary ring, power where your thumb expects it, nothing that needs a manual at 2 a.m. A thermal you operate by instinct beats a spec sheet you operate by menu.
What Crystal Vision does
Crystal Vision is Night Pearl's image processing tuned for one thing: a natural, readable picture. Instead of over-sharpened edges and halos, it keeps tonal detail the sensor actually captured — so a ≤20 mK core shows you texture, depth and the animal's outline the way your eye wants to read it.

The design is the point, but it isn't cosmetic. Riflescope proportions mean familiar mounting, balance and cheek weld — and controls placed where day-scope instinct expects them. You operate it without thinking, which is what design is for.

No. No HARPIA model carries a laser rangefinder. If you want ranging and ballistics on the rifle, that is the HH line.
