What the extension covers
Years four and five run on the same terms as the first three — housing, optics, electronics and mechanics. The one carve-out is the sensor and the core, which stay on the standard three-year term.
That is not fine print for its own sake. An imaging sensor is a consumable at heart, the way a car battery is: it has a working life measured in duty cycles rather than in calendar years, and every maker who quotes a longer number on it is quoting a number they cannot stand behind. We would rather tell you where the line is.
What voids the warranty
RMA credit, exchange, or free warranty repair cannot be offered for:
- Products that have been modified, abused, neglected, or misused.
- Damage due to normal wear and tear, improper mounting, host weapon recoil, or ammunition issues.
- Products opened, disassembled, or repaired by anyone other than an authorized service center.
- Damage from failing to follow the product manual, including improper storage or maintenance.
- Damage caused by impact, fire, lightning, flooding, accidents, natural disasters, or other force majeure events.
How to claim
- Request an RMA number. Fill in the form on the RMA page with your serial number and a description of the fault.
- Wait for instructions. We reply with the RMA number and where to ship. Nothing should leave your hands before that — a package without an RMA number cannot be tracked through service.
- Ship it in. Pack it well, mark the RMA number on the outside, use a trackable method. We evaluate, then repair or replace under warranty, or come back to you with options and a cost estimate if it falls outside.
Where service happens
In our own repair center in Sarasota, Florida — the same building the optics ship from. Nothing crosses an ocean to be looked at, and warranty work is done by our technicians rather than by a contracted third party.
