The Night Pearl Pocket 25 MAX is a true 1× thermal monocular built for moving through the dark, not for glassing a distant field. Its 25 mm F/0.8 germanium lens runs at native 1× optical magnification, so what you see through the eyepiece matches what your other eye sees — no depth distortion, no re-orienting yourself every time you lower the device. That makes it the right tool for walking in on a stand, picking a line through timber, still-hunting, and blood trailing. The 640×512 px, 12 µm VOx sensor with ≤15 mK NETD holds detail in rain, fog and heavy humidity, and the F/0.8 aperture pulls roughly 40 % more thermal energy to the sensor than a conventional F/1.0 lens. Detection reaches 1,400 yards, the field of view is a wide 92 ft at 100 yards, and the whole thing weighs 14.1 oz and fits a jacket pocket.
TRUE 1×. WALK WITH IT.
Most thermal monoculars magnify. This one doesn’t — and that’s the point. At native 1× the image through the Pocket 25 MAX lines up with your naked eye, so you can keep it up while you move instead of stopping, looking, dropping it, and re-finding your footing. Obstacles, terrain breaks, a bedded hog twenty yards off the trail — all of it in scale, all of it where you expect it. It’s the closest thing to a handheld night vision goggle we make.
F/0.8 — 40 % MORE ENERGY IN
Aperture is the spec nobody reads and everybody feels. An F/0.8 lens lets over 40 % more thermal energy reach the sensor than the F/1.0 glass most handhelds ship with. In practice that’s the difference between a usable image and a washed-out one when it’s raining, when fog rolls into a bottom, or when humidity sits heavy after a warm day. Same sensor, better picture — because more of the scene actually gets there.
WIDE FIELD OF VIEW — 92 FT AT 100 YARDS
Field of view is what you actually hunt with. At 92 feet across at 100 yards, the Pocket 25 MAX shows you a whole feeder lane, a full field edge, or both sides of a trail in a single look — no panning, no losing the animal you just found. Narrow devices force you to sweep, and sweeping is how you miss the second hog standing off to the side. Wide means you see the situation, not just the target.
THREE CONTROLS. THAT’S THE WHOLE INTERFACE.
Power button, rotary knob, photo/confirm button. That is the entire interface. Everything the device does runs through three controls you can tell apart by feel, sized to work with gloves on and placed so your hand doesn’t have to search in the dark. No menu diving, no memorised button combinations, no screen light on your face while you work out which palette you’re in. Pick it up, switch it on, use it — and keep your eyes on the field instead of on the device.
SHUTTERLESS. NO CLICK, NO BLACKOUT.
Most thermals recalibrate by closing an internal shutter — the image freezes for a moment and the device makes an audible click. It always happens at the wrong time: the animal steps out, the shutter fires, and you lose both the picture and the element of surprise. The Pocket 25 MAX calibrates without a mechanical shutter. No click, no frozen frame, no blackout while game is moving. It also means one less moving part to fail in cold, wet or dusty conditions.
Pocket 25 MAX — True 1× Thermal for Moving in the Dark
The Night Pearl Pocket 25 MAX is built around one idea: a thermal you can walk with. Native 1× optical magnification, a wide 92 ft field of view at 100 yards, and a 14.1 oz body that disappears into a jacket pocket.

Built by Hunters. For Hunters.
We didn’t build Night Pearl in a boardroom. We built it in the field — because we’ve been hunters our whole lives and we know exactly what you need out there. Every season, we listen. Every season, we improve. That’s our promise to this community.
